I just got my bridal shower and wedding pictures back from my sister.. My sisters, Megan and Joy, planned the bridal shower all themselves and it was a huge success. :) Take a look!
First off, there was a lemonade bar. My colors were Tiffany Blue and Coral. So, they used mason jars and tied blue ribbon around the tops. Instead of just plain ice cubes we did fruit cubes....
The recipe is simple, but here it is: Mash up fruit of your choice (we used raspberries, strawberries and blueberries). Then add some sugar to taste and spoon it into ice cube molds. We used heart shaped ones to make it more fun. Here's a picture
Isn't it cute?
Next, the favors were ADORABLE!!! They bought wine glasses (at dollar tree) and put a blue and white loofah in it (also from dollar tree). Behind the loofah they put a bottle of my favorite Bath and Body Works body wash, Carried Away. If you have not used that one, you MUST! Then for the cherry on top, they wrapped a Moonstruck chocolate to look like a cherry. Check it out:
PS Moonstruck is the best chocolate ever and it is local to Portland.
Then, my awesome sister made my cupcakes. We highly recommend the Duff brand Zebra cake... So far I've found it at Michael's, Target, and Walmart. Topped with some homemade frosting and cute little sprinkles they were delicious :)
Then there was my favorite gift. Everyone gives diaper cakes at baby showers, so I got a towel cake from my sister Megan. Plus, the baking dish on the bottom is so adorable I can't even explain it. I haven't used it yet, but I am planning on soon.
So basically, my sisters are amazing and I loved my bridal shower.
Yaaa! This post has the back of my head. :) Your sisters put together a lovely LITTLE party. ;)
ReplyDelete:) they did a very good job.. I'm lucky to have crafty/creative sisters.
